From 16th August - 10th September, 7BU will be running a major fundraising event... Classic Hits Wishing well formally known as Koinz 4 Kidz campaign, where we will be aiming to raise money for the Children’s ward at the North West Regional Hospital Burnie.
At Classic Hits we’d like to see sick children getting the best care at all times and this is only possible, if our local hospitals are provided with the critical equipment necessary to get out children back on their feet. We feel strongly about this cause and takes pride in making it bigger and better each year. We are asking for your help, by getting involved in the Wishing Well appeal 2010.
7BU would like to encourage your business to participate in this event and help us to raise money for Paediatric Traction Equipment. Some kids suffer from what we term ‘Irritable Hips’ or ‘Perthes Disease’. The treatment for this is rest and a passive exercise program.These Traction sets which will fit to our hospital beds will allow us to safely manage these kids, hopefully reducing the need for major hip surgery.
Paediatric Specific Observation Machine for Emergency Department- Our Emergency Department is the first place children are seen. The assessment and management here is crucial to planning their appropriate journey within the hospital setting. The observation machine planned for the Emergency Department is paediatric specific and is therefore more accurate and appropriate for children of all sizes; from infants to teenagers.

DIARY OF A WIMPY KID Movie Preview 1st September - 7BU will receive a laugh with Metro Cinemas to present the comedy “Diary of a Wimpy kid” In conjunction with ‘Classic Hits Wishing Well’ appeal. Purchase a ticket ($5.00) to the special screening from PHIL MANEY PIES, Hopkinson St, South Burnie with all monies raised forwarded to the childrens ward of the North West Regional Hospital.
