Ground has been broken on the 61 million dollar Devonport Sports Complex, set to become a world class multi-sport hub for the Northwest Coast.
The precinct will house 6 sporting codes and two indoor halls featuring six courts total, outdoor facilities as well as Saint Lukes Wellness Hub.
Delivered through a partnership between Federal, State and Local governments, the project represents one of the region’s largest community sport and health investments.
Mayor Alison Jarman said the redevelopment would transform not just the Devonport
Oval, but the entire community,
“The Devonport Oval Sports Complex will be a place where our young people can
dream big, our clubs can grow, and our whole community can come together. “
Construction is expected to be completed by mid 2027.
