All welcome -Free and available during regular Gallery hours.

Partnership Project at the Burnie Art Gallery - The partnership project is an exciting and wide-reaching project about the complexities of making art in the regions. The exhibition starts at the Burnie Art Gallery then travels around Australia to Umbrella Studio Contemporary Arts (QLD), Lismore Regional Art Gallery (NSW) & Riddoch Art Gallery to finish in Burnie in 2020.

Christmas Day City Mission - City Mission are hosting three lunches at three venues across the Coast. Wynyard, Burnie & Ulverstone Baptist church Halls will be filled with people, so we are putting the challenge out there to people in the community that want to help those doing it tough and the homeless that do attend these events, how, by paying it forward and donating a turkey, a chicken, or even a ham. How about aA bag of onions or bag or spuds, whatever for Christmas. It could even be plumb puddings, custard. We really would like each location, the community to support their event. No pressure but an opportunity to help others. Now if this does trigger something give Scott a call on 0409 227 003. Just mention “Christmas Food Donation.”

Burnie Christmas Parade 2018 - This year's Christmas Parade will be held in the Burnie CBD on Friday 14th December, starting at 7.00pm.
Registrations close December 5th.

Penguin Carols by Candlelight – Penguin’s Annual Carols by Candlelight will be held on Sunday 16th December at Hiscutt Park Penguin starting at 7pm.
Come along, sing along and get into the Christmas spirit. Santa will be making a visit.

Family Fun Day - The Shorewell Park Kommunity Kids events team is holding a Family Fun Day on 16th Dec from 11am to 3pm at Shorewell Park Wiseman street next to Burnie Community House. There will be games, activities for every age, arts and craft, sports and entertainment. Santa will be making an appearance to say hello and have free family photos. All welcome

Lola Greeno : Cultural Jewels at the Burnie Art Gallery - A touring exhibition from the Australian Design Centre

The eighth in the Living Treasures : Masters of Australian Craft series, Lola Greeno : Cultural Jewels presents this renowned shell worker and artist from Tasmania whose stunning work is highly coveted by both public and private collectors around the world.

This exhibition is supported by : Australian Design Centre, Visions of Australia, The Australian Council for the Arts, QVMAG, UTAS, Create NSW and IAS Art Moving and will be held at the gallery between 22nd December - 3rd February. Rural Health Tasmania Family Fun Day – Rural Health will be celebrating 2 years in Wynyard by hosting a Family Fun Day at Civic Park (Cow Park) on Goldie Street, Wynayrd on Wednesday 16th January from 10am until 2pm.
