Cradle Coast Orchestra presents The Overtures

Cradle Coast Orchestra presents The Overtures, including Verdi, Brahms, and Rossini, with Conductor – Dr Robb Dennis and special guests – Burnie Stringalong Orchestras, on Sunday the 21st of June from 2:30pm to 5pm, at the Parklands High School Performing Arts Centre.

The Cradle Coast Orchestra is the only orchestra in North West Tasmania. It provides community musicians 12 years and older with the opportunity to play classical repertoire in an ensemble.

It was founded by Lynne Price as the City of Burnie Orchestra in 1990. The orchestra collaborates with local ensembles and community groups, participating in many local events.

For this event they are joined by the Burnie Stringalong Orchestras. Cradle Coast Orchestra is now privileged to be led by conductor Dr Robb Dennis.

His impressive musical career has taken him from California to New York and Sydney – a professional singer, conductor and musician came to settle on the North-West Coast of Tasmania.
