Tas Winter Chess Festival

The Burnie Chess Club is proud to present The Tasmanian Winter Chess Festival is an exciting event with lots of different tournaments welcome to all ages and all skill levels. With lots of fun events ranging such as fun Blitz Variant tournaments with interesting twists on the rules, or maybe you could try your luck in the Simultaneous Exhibition where Grandmaster Anton Smirnov will be playing against 30 Tasmanians at the same time. All players should also consider the rapid tournament where players have a chance to win a cut of the prize pool which is currently over $4000 dollars everyone has a chance to win prizes as we have catagories ranging from new player prizes, junior prizes, senior prizes and more.
