Tasmania Reads at Burnie and Wynyard Library

Tasmania Reads is an annual week-long celebration filled with fun reading inspired events and activities for all ages across libraries and businesses statewide. Whether you read novels, recipes, newspapers, poetry, comic books or anything else, join the fun!

This year we invite you to try something new. That might be reading a new genre, a different author or trying a new library program.

Burnie Library Activities:

  • Tour the Burnie Library
  • Dramatised reading of ”What Follows…” by local author James McLachlan
  • Fossils and Fossicking with Peter Manchester
  • Writers Book Chat

Wynyard Library Activities:

  • Author Talk: On Splintered Rails with Mark and Angela Fry
  • Harmony Day community lunch at Live Well with author Ruth Rees
