A GoFundMe page launched to support the family of Tasmanian nurse Elaine Gee has raised more than $185,000 within its first 36 hours.
Elaine was travelling home from a shift at the Launceston General Hospital on Friday July 24, when her Nissan Navara was reportedly struck head on by a blue Skoda. She suffered serious injuries and died at the Royal Hobart Hospital on Sunday July 26.
Her husband Rod posted a tribute to his wife on social media, saying it was something he never imagined he would write – that he can be their dad, but n-one can ever replace their mum. He’s called for the support of family, friends, teachers, the community and those who knew and oved Elaine – to help make the good boys they raised together, become the great men she knew they could be.
