Junior anglers keen to wet a line and possibly catch their first fish will have the opportunity to do so near Latrobe on Sunday.
Sunday will signal the opening of the junior trout fishing season at Taylor’s Dam for the North West Junior Angler’s Club, supported by the Devonport Angler’s Club.
With the closure of the popular Fromberg’s Dam at Ulverstone, which has been sold for a housing development, the Taylor’s Dam site, near the Bass Highway opposite Anvers Chocolate, is now the Coast’s only dedicated junior fishing venue.
The day’s activities will get underway at 10 am, with lines out at 3 pm.
