The public consultation has opened for the contentious Hawley Foreshore Pathway project.
The Latrobe Council has been given the go ahead by Parks and Wildlife Tasmania to lodge a development application for the pathway, which has met with resistance from a number of local residents.
Latrobe Mayor Peter Freshney says anyone opposed to the project, or in favour of it, can lodge a submission, which will be independently assessed on planning grounds.

The advertised period comment of 14 days started on October 25th.
