An Australian ship owner will be in court this afternoon after its cement carrier sank two tugboats back in 2022.
The MV Goliath, owned by CSL Australia, crashed into York Cove and Campbell Cove on the Mersey River in Devonport.
After federal court proceedings around how much it will fork out to pay TasPorts, the company now faces criminal charges in the Devonport Magistrates Court.

That include one count of ausing serious envirnonmental harm and one count of unlawfully causing environmental nuisance.
