It follows a separate incident at the Bluff last week where a young man and three teens were charged with assault, after a 14-year-old was taken to the North West Regional Hospital.

Tasmania Police say they are aware of community concerns regarding recent anti-social behavior and alleged unlawful activity in the Devonport area and are conducting regular patrols, while urging residents not to take matters into their own hands.

Devonport Councilor Steve Martin says he keen to see an approach previously floated in Council revisited to tackle the issue, which would involve bringing Council, Tasmania Police and other agencies together through a Community Safety Special Interest Group.

Police ask anyone that witnesses or feels threatened by anti-social behaviour to call 13 11 44.
