Police are investigating a series of burglaries committed between Wynyard and Shearwater in the early hours of Saturday morning.
It’s alleged two men, aged 21 and 17 used a white 1993 Toyota Corolla stolen from Launceston, and committed a series of burglaries and petrol thefts at businesses on Friend Street, Devonport; Wright Street, East Devonport; Shearwater Boulevard, Shearwater; and Stewart Street, Devonport.
Police haven’t released details of the alleged Wynyard offences
In two of the burglaries, the vehicle was used to breach the security doors of businesses, and cigarettes, smoking devices and cash were stolen.
The stolen vehicle was located burnt out on Don Road around 5:30am on Saturday morning.
Police are actively searching for the two people involved.
