Locals are being urged to keep vehicles locked and valuables secure, after a spate of what police describe as “opportunistic car burglaries” in Latrobe on Monday.
The burglaries taking place across several streets, cars that were either unlocked or had windows down broken into, and items stolen.
Anyone with CCTV in the areas of Alberta, Laura, Cotton and Last Streets, as well as Ready and Fenton Place, are urged to check it between Sunday night and Monday morning and refer any suspicious behaviors to police.
