Man dies in Currumbin Creek

A 54-year-old man has died while kayaking in the Currumbin Creek, just north of the NSW border.

He was last seen kayaking east before his empty vessel was spotted a short time later.

Police commenced a search around 5.20pm and located his body two hours later. A report will be prepared for the coroner but the death is not being treated as suspicious.
