State gov seeks new animal welfare advisor
A new Chair is being sought for Tasmania's Animal Welfare Advisory Committee.
The state government says it wants to maintain high welfare standards for wildlife, pets and livestock.
The Tasmanian Animal Welfare Advisory Committee will make recommendations to the Government on animal welfare issues and consider any proposed changes to animal welfare legislation.
Expressions of interest from candidates are now being sought to fill the position.
The government says the role will be held for a maximum of three years, but the person can be reappointed.
