COVID Vax bus hits the road

The State Government's vaccination bus will hit the road this week, providing COVID-19 Pfizer jabs to rural and remote townships, including a number on the North-West Coast.

The service, run in conjuction with the Royal Flying Doctor Service, will visit 23 Tasmanian towns over the next three weeks.

Locals aged 12 and over will be able to turn up on the day without an appointment and receive a vaccination aboard the bus.

The service will return three weeks later for follow-up second doses.

The bus will visit the West Coast this week and Edith Creek, Irishtown, Redpa, Sassafras and Railton next week.
