Missing boaters named
A significant search operation continues for a boat which failed to return from Bass Strait.
The yellow and white Caribbean half-cab with three people on board set out from the Wynyard boat ramp at around midday on Monday.
Four hours later there was still no sign of the 17-footer.
A relative raised the alarm, prompting an extensive sea and air search between Wynyard and Rocky Cape.
Police have obtained clearance from the families to release the names of those on board: Isaiah Dixon of Wynyard, West Ulverstone local Thomas Courto and fellow Coaster Bree-Anna Thomas.
An Australian Maritime Safety Authority Challenger jet flew over from Melbourne on Tuesday morning with two Tasmania Police rescue choppers also in the sky.
