$14 million enclosed composting centre to go ahead for Dulverton
The Dulverton Waste Management complex is set to develop a $14 million enclosed composting facility.
The Federal Government has announced $6 million in funding through the Regional Recoveries Partnership Programme, to go with$ 3 million from the State Government and $5 million from the waste management authority itself, which is a joint venture with Devonport, Latrobe, Kentish and Central Coast Councils.
Federal Braddon MP Gavin Pearce says the enclosed composting plant will provide 92 jobs during construction and is important for the region in helping to eliminate organic waste from ending up in landfill.
Mr Pearce says the new facility will remove odours and safely process leached materials and meet future needs in bio-security, quarantine and industrial organic waste processing.
