Another set of golden arches will be going up on the eastern shore.
Construction will begin on a new McDonalds in Howrah this week, supporting 100 constructions jobs.
It'll be the first Macca's restaurant in the state since the Devonport Homemaker restaurant in 2013.
The new Howrah restaurant will feature a McCafé, dual lane drive thru, dedicated partner delivery room and a PlayPlace.
It's expected this new store will generate over $5 million for the local economy and provide 120 jobs once operational.
The new restaurant will be owned and operated by Hobart Licensee, John Barry-Murphy, who currently employs over 220 members of the community at his existing restaurant in Rosny Park.
"Our restaurants are also committed to supporting local charities, community groups and sporting clubs that make a positive impact in the community," Mr Barry-Murphy said.
