Low-lifes damage cars

Hobartians are fuming after a spate of vandalism on cars between Lower Sandy Bay and Blackmans Bay.

Vehicles in suburbs including Taroona and Kingston were

covered with spraypaint as well as having side mirrors kicked off some time between last Friday or Saturday.

19 cars were damaged overall, and two had some sort of corrosive substance poured on, resulting in expensive paint repair jobs.

“Incidents of damage like these are examples of senseless, mindless vandalism which will not be condoned,” said Inspector Ian Lindsay.

“The offenders have shown a complete lack of respect for people and property.”

Anyone with any information should contact Crimestoppers or Kingston Police on 1800 333 000.
