Falling out of step over medicinal Cannabis

Preparations for a multi-million dollar trial for medicinal cannabis is set to begin in NSW this week.

Children with severe epilepsy, terminally ill adults and

those undergoing chemotherapy could be part of the nine million dollar trial to help alleviate their symptoms.

Tasmanian Labor and the Greens have accused the state government of falling out of step with the rest of the country to embrace medicinal cannabis,despite overwhelming support.

Last month the Liberals rejected an upper house committee report on decriminalising medicinal cannabis

The Health Minister Michael Ferguson has since said he's open to the possibility of a trial.
