Jobless figure unchanged
Tasmania's trend unemployment rate for July remains the nation's highest at an unchanged 6.7%.
Australia's seasonally adjusted figure of 5.2% also has not moved, despite an an unexpected extra 41,100 jobs added, 34,500 of those full-time.
The reason the rate did not fall was because of more people returning to the market, called an increasing participation rate, due to people becoming more confident of their chances of securing work.
Those Tasmanians who have had their fill of unemployment or underemployment combined with an affordable housing drought, may look to New South Wales where the jobless rate is 4.4% seasonally adjusted.
Victoria also enjoys a lower figure at 4.8%.
