Man accused of speeding in "mate's car"
A man from the state's north west is accused of drug-driving at more than double the speed limit in a car he borrowed from a mate.
The unlicensed 22-year-old was charged this morning after being pulled over by police driving in excess of 100km/h in a 50km/h zone in Devonport on November 11.
He allegedly failed a roadside drug test and told police he had borrowed the car "from a mate".
The car has been impounded for 28 days.
He is charged with unlicensed driving, exceeding the speed limit by more than 45km/h and drug-driving, pending laboratory results.
