  • 2charm took the crown for the 2025 Steamiest Song of the Year with their hit “Boyfriend.”
  • The Weeknd remains the king of the bedroom, with “Earned It” voted the Steamiest Song of All Time.

  • Mood Boosters: 48% say a playlist is the best way to get in the mood.
  • Keeping the Beat: 34% use music to help set the pace or rhythm.
  • The Genre of Choice: R&B is the clear winner, with 43% saying it’s the ultimate bedroom soundtrack.

But it’s not all about the vibe, sometimes it’s about a little privacy! One in five Aussies (17%) use music to drown out background noise during “mummy and daddy time.” The research reveals that 23% of 35-44 year olds use music for privacy and that number jumps to 33% for 18-24 year olds!

Whether you’re looking for connection or just a bit of cover, it’s clear that Aussies are turning up the volume when things are getting steamy!
