The Stanley Port Self Contained and Relocatable Truck Wash and Effluent Dump Facility is now open, marking the fourth and final location in the region.
The Stanley site joins the Smithton, Minna Road and King Island truck wash facilities, providing farmers and truck drivers with a place to clean vehicles and equipment efficiently – helping bolster biosecurity, animal welfare and occupational health and safety.
Works at the Stanley site included the construction of a fully modular, self-contained and relocatable effluent dump facility, and construction of a truck wash bay.
Federal Member for Braddon, Anne Urquhart MP said the new wash solves the issue of trucks leaking waste throughout the historic town and will benefit the tourism economy.
“Stanley is a top tourist destination for the North West Coast, and now the streets willbe kept clean and tidy thanks to our investment.”
