Dow and Broad given key shadow portfolios

Tasmanian Labor’s two Braddon MPs have been given prominent roles in new Opposition Leader Dean Winter’s Shadow Cabinet.

Burnie-based Deputy Leader Anita Dow will be the Shadow Minister for Infrastructure, TAFE, Skills and Training, Industry and Regional Development, Local Government and Small Business.

Her previous main portfolio of Health has been handed to Southern MP Ella Haddad.

Meanwhile, Devonport-based Shane Broad has lost the Shadow Treasure’s job to another Southern MP, Josh Willie, and will instead be responsible for Housing, Planning, Building and Construction and Consumer Affairs.

Leader Dean Winter says his shadow cabinet reflects a strong focus on jobs and the future.
