Tributes flow for Bondi stabbing victim with Tasmanian connection

Tributes are flowing for victims of the murderous stabbing rampage in Sydney on Saturday in which a lone attacker killed six people before being fatally shot by police.

One of the victims has connections to the North-West Coast.

38 year-old mother Ashlee Good was the daughter of prominent North-West businessman Kerry Good, who established the Goodstone Group, which owns hospitality venues and bottleshops in Devonport, Ulverstone, Penguin, Somerset and Smithton.

Her nine month-old daugher, who was also stabbed, survived the ordeal and is recovering in hospital.

Ms Good’s family has issued statement lamenting the loss of a beautiful mother, daughter, sister, partner, friend.

The family says it appreciates the well wishes and thoughts of the Australian public and it’s outpouring of love.

It says it’s also grateful to New South Wales police and first responders and the expert care and attention of the medical team at the Sydney Children’s Hospital.

The family has also expressed gratitude to the two bystanders who helped care for the baby when her mother could not.

The statement says the family is struggling to come to terms with that has happened and has asked for peace and privacy as they work through their grief.
